7-11 June
The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) at the National University of Singapore is organising an online workshop from 7-11 Jun 2021. At Q Camp, students study advanced concepts in math, computer science and quantum physics, and see experiments demonstrating quantum phenomena. They are introduced to research that is throwing new light on our understanding of the universe and building the foundation for new kinds of technologies, from quantum cryptography to quantum computers.

Generation Q Camp by CQT

The Centre for Quantum Technologies at the National University of Singapore is offering a four day workshop consisting of hands-on activities, lectures and lab visits in quantum technologies and cryptography for high-school students. Students will study advanced concepts in math, computer science, quantum physics, classical and quantum cryptography, and see experiments demonstrating quantum phenomena. They will be introduced to research that is throwing new light on our understanding of the universe and building the foundation for new kinds of technologies, from quantum cryptography to quantum computers.
Students will be exposed to physics, maths and computer science going beyond their syllabus, getting a taste of what they could study as undergraduates, and what real scientific research - where the answers aren't known yet - looks like. As companies such as Google and IBM are investing in research in quantum technologies, students will also gain a glimpse into an area with industry jobs.

Aerospace Summer Camp 2018

Aerospace Summer Camp 2018, organized and fully sponsored by the Stanley Ho Astronautics Training Foundation (SHATF), is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn more about astronautics and aerospace technology through activities and visits to science centres. The nominated student must be passionate about Science, especially in the field of astronautics and aeronautics while communicate well in Mandarin as the camp will be conducted entirely in Mandarin. Students can look forward to interacting with participants from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Malaysia and develop international friendships.

Robotics S.M.A.R.T Camp 2.1

The 2-day camp focuses on building and programming an X-Y Robot Arm from scratch which rides on the growing interest in the field of robotics. Both programming languages, Python 2 and Arduino C++, will be used. Students will also be exposed to basic computer vision software which automates the detection of objects and subsequently manipulate them using the robot arm. You can also attend a lunch time talk by an industrial partner in Robot Arm Automation.

Programming Intelligence in Robots Using m3Pi Robots

CRADLΣ Science Workshop: Diffusion Cloud Chamber

What does meteorology have to do with particle physics? In this workshop, participants will learn how a serendipitous observation led to the development of the cloud chamber particle detector by Charles Wilson (Nobel prize 1927), according to Lord Rutherford the “most wonderful and original instrument in scientific history”.
Exploiting concepts such as condensation, evaporation, and super-saturation, participants will build their own cloud chambers and observe some of the natural ionising radiation surrounding us.

Weather Satellite Workshop at NTU EEE Expo 2017

Organised by the NTU School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), the one-day EEE Expo will showcase the school’s work to help build the four pillars of Singapore’s new economy: Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering; Health and Biomedical Sciences; Services and Digital Economy; and Urban Solutions and Sustainability. From a new medical kit to rapidly detect diseases to an intelligent traffic system to prevent congestions, research projects to help transform Singapore’s economy and improve people’s lives will be on display.

This year, they are bringing the programme to junior colleges, for free! It consists of two workshops, on 3D design and 3D printing; attendance for both workshops is required.
